CALIFORNIA – A long-distance swimmer says he was fighting for his life after coming face-to-face with a great white shark.
The incident prompted the temporary closure of Manhattan Beach on a busy summer holiday weekend.
The swimmer was with a group of long-distance swimmers trying to help their friend.
L.A. County lifeguards says 40-year-old Steven Robles has moderate injuries from the teeth of a six to seven-foot long juvenile great white.
