Police: Body of missing person discovered near southeast OKC tree farm

OKLAHOMA CITY - Police are investigating a scene in southeast Oklahoma City after a body was discovered on Monday.

Authorities say a badly decomposed body was found near a tree farm in the area of S.E. 18th St. and Missouri.

Officials say the body was found along a chain link fence behind Canary Wellhead.

Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow, with the Oklahoma City Police Department, said the body is that of a resident who was reported missing on June 29.

Investigators identified the victim as 49-year-old Carla Sessions Wood.

Also, a manner of death has yet to be determined.
