EDMOND, Okla. – A traffic alert that could impact your drive in Edmond starting today.

The intersection at Waterloo and Kelley is closed right now, through the end of this week, for the U.S. Senior Open.

We’re told officers will redirect traffic in all four directions around the intersection through Sunday.

Another change because of the tournament, trash pickup day will be different this week.

Trash will be picked up on Tuesday instead of Friday.

This will impact all Oak Tree neighborhoods between Santa Fe and Broadway, between Waterloo and Sorghum Mill.

People living in Deer Creek Estates, north of Sorghum Mill, and any stand alone houses between Broadway and the west city limits will also be affected.

City crews say this will help reduce traffic flow during peak tournament times.
