ENID, Okla. – Police say two people are dead after a car hit a semi-truck early this morning.

The Enid Police Department rushed to 54th St. and Hwy 412 after learning about an accident around 12:35 a.m. on Friday.

Investigators say 38-year-old Richard Walker was driving eastbound with only one functional headlight.

A semi-truck pulled away from a stop sign and into the intersection, right in front of Walker’s car.

The car hit the semi, killing Walker and his passenger, Don Powell II.

According to police, investigators say there was an odor of alcohol coming from the car.

Authorities say they found a full can of malt beverage.

However, the investigation is still ongoing.
