Potentially deadly errors lead CDC to close anthrax, flu labs

The director of the Centers for Disease Control says he’s lost sleep over the issues of lab safety at the agency.

This comes after an investigation into a recent anthrax exposure incident and another incident at a flu lab.

It found that a strain of H1N1 and regular flu were mixed because of improper handling.

The director of the CDC, Dr. Tom Frieden, says multiple steps will be taken to keep this from happening again.

He also says disciplinary actions will be taken.
