We are about 2 months away from the start of college football, but speculation about who is going to play well in the Big 12 is in full effect.
The conference released their Preseason All-Big 12 team Wednesday and it includes four Sooners and a lone Cowboy.
OSU incoming Wide Receiver/Running Back Tyreek Hill has been honored as the Preseason Big 12 Newcomer of the Year. Hill is a speedster who broke OSU’s 100 meter track record in his first track meet at the school.
Offensively, the Sooners placed two on the first team. Place Kicker Michael Hunnicutt and Offensive Lineman Daryl Williams.
On defense, OU has Linebacker Eric Striker and Defensive Back Zack Sanchez on the first team.
Heisman hopeful Bryce Petty of Baylor earned Preseason Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors.
On the defensive side of the ball, TCU’s athletic Defensive Lineman Devonte Fields nabbed Preseason Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors.
