MIAMI (WPLG) – Cameras mounted on police cars’ dashboards are meant to keep officers and the public safe.

However, one officer’s GoPro caught a scene the Miami Police Department is now trying to unravel.

According to WPLG, Officer Marcel Jackson pulled over a car that was speeding.

Jackson says he pursued the car a couple of blocks before the driver decided to stop.

A fight broke out between the officer and the driver as several other officers arrived on the scene.

The driver, Lt. David Ramras, works in the police department’s Internal Affairs Unit.

The state attorney is now reviewing the case.

Ramras has been reassigned to another unit during the investigation and Jackson has been suspended with pay.
