OKLAHOMA CITY – Police say an Oklahoma City man was caught red-handed after a homeowner found him inside his garage.

Authorities were called by a homeowner to the 6300 block of S. Durland Ave. after the man said he was holding an alleged thief at gunpoint.

When police arrived, they found 29-year-old Brandon Evans lying on the ground and the victim holding a pistol to his side.

The victim told officers he caught Evans burglarizing his garage.

According to the police affidavit, the victim found several of his boxes stacked outside his garage.

At that point, he told Evans to get on the ground and called police.

Evans is now facing a charge of second degree burglary and possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a prescription.
