Fallin creates petition to close facilities housing unaccompanied children
OKLAHOMA CITY – Gov. Mary Fallin has launched an online petition that focuses on a controversial issue plaguing the country.
Fallin announced that she has created a petition that calls for the closure of facilities that are holding unaccompanied children who have crossed the U.S. border illegally.
The petition demands the Ft. Sill facility close when the current lease with the Department of Health and Human Services expires in October.
The petition asks for no amnesty, closure of the facility at Ft. Sill and similar facilities throughout the country and enforcement of the current immigration laws.
