SHAWNEE, Okla. –   Police say a man broke into an ex-girlfriend’s house and he has barricaded himself underneath the home.

Investigators say it happened in a home on the 100 block of West Washington in Shawnee around 11 a.m. Monday.

According to police, Robert Gore, who is wanted on some county warrants, spotted police officers.

Officers say that’s when he broke into his ex-girlfriends home, and he was hiding in a crawl space under the home.

Police say there were people at the home, including children, when Gore stormed in, but they were evacuated.

Some roads were closed in the area because of the standoff situation.

A short time later police apprehended Gore and he was placed under arrest.
