TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa police are investigating a car crash that killed an OU student and left five others in serious condition.

It happened over the weekend when a vehicle crossed the center line smashing head on into an SUV with 6 people inside.

Police believe the driver of the vehicle that crossed over may have been drinking.

Taylor Witcher was in the vehicle that was hit and she died from injuries sustained in that accident.

She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

At a weekly prayer vigil held on the south oval of the OU campus Monday night, students prayed for Witcher’s family.

“Just a terrible tragedy and nobody should have to go through that. But you know our heart is that great things would come of her life,” said OU football player, Trevor Knight.

Knight organizes the weekly prayer meeting.

“She was a believer and you know for her sorority sisters and her friends to come out here and be a part of this was extremely special. But just lift up her family in this moment, lift up all her friends.┬áJust couldn’t imagine going through that,” said Knight.

Kappa Alpha Theta sent out several tweets thanking people for their thoughts and prayers.

They said they were devastated by the loss of Witcher and that she was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met.
