Oklahoma musician tops charts as ‘highest-paid country artist’
OKLAHOMA CITY – It seems an Oklahoma music artist is making big bucks in his field.
Toby Keith tops Forbes’ 2014 County Music’s Highest Paid Artists.
Keith is topping the list for the second year in a row, earning an estimated $65 million.
Experts say the Moore native is cashing in on his ‘I Love This Bar and Grill’ restaurants, a multimillion dollar endorsement deal with Ford and he owns “Show Dog-Universal” record label.
Taylor Swift is second on the list with about $64 million.
Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan round out the top five.
All of the artists pulled in at least $34 million.
Of the 10 best-selling albums in the U.S. last year, three were by country artists.
