SAN DIEGO, Calif. – An NFL lineman is at the center of a lawsuit after a woman claimed he gave her herpes and was physically abusive.
A woman named “Adrienne E.” filed a lawsuit against Camaron Thomas for sexual battery, assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraud through intentional concealment and negligence, according to the lawsuit.
Thomas is a former San Diego Chargers defensive lineman who now plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Adrienne claimed the pair had unprotected sex on multiple occasions and allegedly asked Thomas about “puss-filled bumps on his buttocks and inner thigh.”
The lawsuit alleges Thomas told her they were caused by sweaty workout gear.
After the couple broke up, Adrienne says she tested positive for herpes.
Thomas’ defense attorney says the plaintiff didn’t end up testing positive until they had been apart for five months.
“He’s confident that it wasn’t him,” said Chris Morris, Thomas’ defense attorney.
Morris says he’s not even sure Thomas has been infected with the virus.
Thomas was also accused of being physically abusive to Adrienne.
The lawsuit claims he assaulted her in a vehicle while driving, choked her and burned her with an iron.
