OKEMAH, Okla. –  Kevin Sweat pleaded guilty to three murder charges Thursday, including the 2008 killings of two girls in Weleetka, according to Tulsa World.

The newspaper reports it was part of a plea deal in an Okemah, Okla. courtroom.

According to Tulsa World, Sweat pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree murder for the 2008 shooting deaths of Skyla Whitaker, 11, and Taylor Paschal-Placker, 13,  in 2008, and the death of his fiancee, Ashley Taylor, in 2011.

Whitaker and Paschal-Placker’s bodies were found on a side of a county road in Weleetka, Okla.

According to arrest reports, Sweat confessed to killing Taylor after she disappeared in 2011.

Earlier this month, prosecutors decided not to pursue the death penalty for Sweat.

Sweat’s murder trial had been scheduled to begin on Monday.

He recently waived his right to a jury trial, and his fate would have been decided by a judge.

Sweat now awaits sentencing.
