UNITED KINGDOM – A new survey out shows what the average child wants to be when they grow up, and the answers may surprise you.
There’s the traditional answers like a police officer, doctor, or vet are still popular, but it seems fame and fortune are now topping the list.
The Telegraph reports that the survey interviewed more than 1,300 kids between the ages of five and ten years old.
75% of the kids said that money could buy happiness.
When asked what they wanted to be when they grow up, the number one answer was “Just want to be rich.”
While 22% of kids said they wanted to be rich, 19% of kids surveyed said they wanted to be famous.
That’s followed by the traditional answers of police officer, zookeeper, and firefighter.
One in 16 kids said they “don’t want to work”.
