DORSET, Minn. –  He’s possibly the most adorable city leader in the country, but Mayor Robert  “Bobby” Tufts is now out of office.

The 5-year-old was defeated by a 16-year-old in the race for mayor in a small Minnesota town.

KARE reports that Mayor Bobby was first elected in 2012 to the ceremonial position of mayor of Dorset.

The town, which has a population of 25, elects a mayor each year as part of a local food festival fundraiser by picking a name out of a hat.

Bobby’s mom was also his chief of staff, secretary, and chauffeur.

Mayor Bobby served two terms in office.

He now hands over the power to 16-year-old Eric Mueller.
