OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahomans have the opportunity to receive free dental, medical and vision care this weekend.

Remote Area Medical (RAM) will conduct the 2014 RAM Oklahoma clinic event this weekend at the Oklahoma State Fair Park.

Hundreds of Oklahomans will be served by volunteer health professionals in the Oklahoma Expo Hall on Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17.

According to RAM, patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis and there are no income or eligibility requirements.

Event organizers will start passing out numbers around 4 a.m. each morning, and patients will begin entering the clinic building at 6 a.m.  Treatment will run through late afternoon.

Patients must choose between dental and vision care, but all will have access to limited medical services.

According to RAM, dental care is limited to extractions and cleanings. Only a small number of fillings are available.

Vision care will include an eye exam, with glasses often made on site.
