Officials are investigating after nearly 35,000 dollars was stolen from four passengers who were aboard Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.
A Malaysian bank reported the mysterious withdrawals totaling nearly 35,000 dollars five months after the Malaysia Airlines flight went missing.
According to Daily Mail, money from the accounts of three passengers was transferred to the account of a fourth passenger before it was removed on July 18.
“We are investigating the case as unauthorized access with intent to commit an offence,” Assistant Commissioner to the crime investigation department Izany Abdul Ghany said, according to the Mirror.
Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared March 8 with 239 people on board.
Searchers have found no trace of the jetliner or its passengers, making the case probably the biggest mystery in aviation history and leaving the families of those on board bereft of answers.
