Rollover crash lands a car in a front yard; Snaps light pole in half

rollover crash

OKLAHOMA CITY – A rollover accident lands one woman in the hospital and most likely behind bars.

It happened in the 2400 block of North Robinson just before 2 a.m. Friday.

Police say the woman was driving northbound at a high rate of speed when she lost control and left the roadway.

Officers say that’s when she struck a light pole breaking it in half.

According to investigators, she went on to drive through a front yard, clipped a tree, and then rolled her car over at least twice before coming to a stop on its side trapping the driver inside.

Emergency crews had to cut the woman out of the vehicle before taking her to the hospital.

The woman was conscious and talking, but officers say she was also intoxicated.
