Scientists say they have developed a vaccine against mosquito-borne illness
Scientists believe they’ve developed a new vaccine against the Chikungunya virus.
The mosquito-borne illness showed up in the United States for the first time this year.
It causes debilitating joint pain, headache and fever.
Researchers say trials show the vaccine appears to be safe, and test volunteers actually built up anti-bodies to the virus.
No word on when the vaccine will be able to everyone.
Experts say more studies need to be done.
