FLORIDA – A teen with autism suffered several injuries, including a concussion, after being beaten up at a party in Florida.
The whole brutal attack was captured on video and posted online.
Police say the 16-year-old was discovered lying in a road last weekend.
He told officers a man beat him until he lost consciousness at a party.
Police arrested 18-year-old Andrew Wheeler in the attack after seeing the video online.
The Chief is speaking out against allegations that the department is involved in a cover up.
“I think the video is disgusting. It’s just as upsetting to myself and to my officers as it is to anyone else that would view it. Absolutely no way that we would ever attempt to cover up anything like that. It’s very disturbing,” Chief Denny Davis, with Okeechobee City Police said.
Wheeler is charged with child abuse without great bodily harm.
He told police he asked to remove the teen from the party because he was drunk.
Wheeler also said he hit the teen after the teen tried to hit him.
