Young Millwood Team Hoping For Continued Success

Millwood High School’s football team is 60-9 over the last five seasons,  and enters 2014 with high hopes after losing in the 2A state championship game the year before.

In his second season as head coach, Darwin Franklin will try to get Millwood over the hump in 2014 and bring home the school’s sixth state title.

Franklin says he will have a young team this year and his Falcons will have to replace several key players from 2013.

Cameron Batson played all over for Millwood in 2013 before signing with Texas Tech and Alfonzo McMillian was another graduated playmaker that held college offers.

The Falcons will take part in the All-City Preview on Thursday, August 28, and open their season at home versus Star Spencer on September 5.
