NORMAN, Okla. – Students at the University of Oklahoma will be able to meet a few Oklahoma athletes and coaches in the coming days, and could win some official gear.

OU Football Student Day is Thursday, Aug. 21 from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Students are encouraged to attend the team portion of practice at the stadium.

Coach Bob Stoops will have an open microphone as he talks through all on-field activities.

The first 500 students in the gates will receive a free hot dog and drink.

All other hot dogs and drinks will be available for 50 cents each.

After practice, students will be invited onto the field to participate in drills, meet and take pictures with student-athletes and have a chance to kick a field goal.

In addition to the meet and greet, students will be able to get a group photo with the coaching staff and student-athletes.

Also, all student football and men’s basketball season-ticket holders will be able to pick up their free Big 12 Conference t-shirt at the event.

Beginning at 4 p.m., raffle tickets will be handed out under the west side of the stadium.

Winners will be selected to receive official football gear including helmets, footballs and jerseys.

OU students must have a current student ID to attend the event.
