But two new studies reveal your morning eggs are not all they’re cracked up to be.
Researchers instructed volunteers to either eat a 700-calorie breakfast each day, or nothing at all for several months.
Breakfast eaters had no change in their metabolism.
Researchers also found that none of them had lost more weight than those who skipped a morning meal.
However, there were some health perks to eating breakfast.
The volunteers in the breakfast group were more active during the day and had steadier blood sugar levels.
Experts say while more studies are needed, it appears eating breakfast is not a factor in weight control.
