Officials: Westbound lanes now open on H.E. Bailey Turnpike after deadly crash

UPDATED 8/26/2014 3:39 p.m. – Officials say all westbound lanes near mile marker 91 on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike are back open following an accident.

Authorities have identified the two deceased victims as 22-year-old Joshua Oglesby and 36-year-old Trevor Flum.

NEWCASTLE, Okla. – A crash has caused traffic to be at a standstill on the H. E. Bailey Turnpike near Newcastle, Okla. .

The westbound lanes are closed near the turnpike gate 6 miles south of Newcastle.

Troopers say two people died in the crash.

According to emergency crews, a man in a white truck was on the shoulder of the road adjusting his load when a man in a red truck hit him.

Both men died.
