Residents could be left in the dark as storms move through Oklahoma
BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (KJRH) - More than 10,000 residents in Bartlesville were without power at one point overnight as strong storms blew through the area.
No injuries have been reported, but buildings were damaged, along with some downed tree limbs and power lines.
Officials say 70 to 80 mile per hour winds, rain and lightning occurred around Washington County.
Classes were canceled for Bartlesville Public Schools as multiple sites were affected by the power outages.
Experts say they will have about 95 percent of the outages repaired by Tuesday evening, but another 800 customers in the Oak Park neighborhood could be without power for several days.
