BOSTON, Mass. – There’s a nationwide manhunt for a suspected serial rapist, who is accused of attacks in multiple states.

Police believe Greg Lewis is kidnapping women, raping them and then stealing their money.

He is now wanted in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Colorado and Oregon.

“He needs to be caught and he needs to be caught soon,” said Lt. Mike Farley, with the Massachusetts State Police.

State police say the 26-year-old started his alleged crime spree in Massachusetts with the rape of a 13-year-old in August.

While out on bail, investigators claim he cut off his GPS bracelet and left it on the victim’s front lawn.

Authorities say he headed to North Carolina, where they say he assaulted and robbed a 29-year-old woman at a motel.

“He put me in a choke hold and put handcuffs on me with my hands behind my back,” she said.

Investigators say Lewis returned home before attacking his stepfather and stealing his gun.

At that point, he is accused of heading west and attacking a victim in Denver.

“We deal with a lot of bad people, a lot of fugitives that do bad things, but the mindset of this guy really scares me,” said Amy Waterman, with the Massachusetts State Police.

Officials say he has made it clear he’ll fire at anyone who tries to take him down.

“I think he figures it’s almost his last hurrah. He’s going to stay out there as long as he can, he doesn’t care how many people he hurts,” said Lt. Mike Farley, with the Massachusetts State Police.

“He’s a danger, he’s a danger to the public. He’s a danger to law enforcement and the longer he’s out there the more he is going to do,” said Waterman.

Lewis is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
