Former Putnam City Star To Miss Rest of NBA Season

Former Putnam City High School standout Xavier Henry is expected to miss the rest of the NBA season for the Los Angeles Lakers after rupturing his left achilles tendon, according to multiple media reports.

Henry suffered the injury in practice on Monday.

The fifth year pro is in his second season with the Lakers, and he’s been plagued by injuries throughout his career, never playing more than 50 games in a season.

Henry was averaging 2.2 points a game for the Lakers.
