One killed in shooting at an Oklahoma university, authorities investigating

CLAREMORE, Okla. – One man is dead after a shooting at Rogers State University.

According to KOKI, one man fired off several rounds at a building and then killed himself Friday night.

The school was put on lockdown and students were told to stay where they were.

“We received a call of multiple shots fired on campus. Several agencies aided us including RSU Campus Police. One deceased subject has been located,” said Lt. Chuch Goad with Claremore police.

According to KOKI, officials believe this was intended domestic violence.

The man reportedly opened fire on a female student that is believed to have formerly been in a relationship with him.

The shooter was not an RSU student.

Police say no one else was injured in the shooting.
