Poor Shooting Dooms Cowboys At South Carolina

Oklahoma State’s men’s basketball team made just 25 percent of their shots and South Carolina used a 20-5 run early in the second half to blow out the Cowboys 75-49 on Saturday at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina.

OSU had just one player in double figure scoring, as Le’Bryan Nash had 13 points, but he made just 4 of 15 shots.

Phil Forte was just 1-for-14 from the field, and made just one of 10 three-point attempts.

OSU was 5 of 24 from three-point range as a team.

The Gamecocks outrebounded OSU by eight and blocked eight Cowboy shots.

OSU went on an 8-0 run in the first half to take an 18-17 lead, but the Gamecocks responded with a 10-0 run and never trailed after that, leading by eight at halftime.

South Carolina’s 20-5 run early in the second half put the game out of reach.

Duane Notice led South Carolina with 20 points.

The loss is OSU’s first of the season as they drop to 7-1.

The Cowboys play at Memphis next Saturday at 5:00.
