OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities say they have arrested a 24-year-old man for the alleged rape of a young girl.

The victim’s mother called police after learning that her 4-year-old daughter was hurt.

The victim’s mother said she left the little girl with her husband, 24-year-old Andres Quixan, while she went to work.

A short time later, her sister called and said there was something wrong with the child.

According to the arrest affidavit, the little girl’s sweat pants had blood on the bottom and the 4-year-old kept complaining that “her butt hurt.”

The child’s mother rushed her to the emergency room and met police officers inside the hospital.

According to the report, doctors say the little girl suffered a “laceration at the vaginal wall” that would require surgery.

The report also says that doctors told officers that the victim’s injury “was from sexual abuse.”

Authorities say they found Quixan hiding in a closet in a relative’s home.

Quixan was arrested and charged with first-degree rape of a child.
