OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City man is facing charges after being arrested for allegedly trying to assault a woman with an unusual weapon.

The victim told officers that she broke up with 55-year-old Dalton Ballard, but he continued to call and harass her.

On Thursday, the victim told police that Ballard came by her home unexpectedly.

The arrest affidavit claims he began yelling obscenities when she opened her door.

“[Victim] told me that [Ballard] pulled out a ‘meat hook’ and began swinging it and trying to hit her,” the arrest affidavit reads.

The victim said she was able to wrestle the hook out of Ballard’s hand while a friend called 911.

Ballard was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
