WASHINGTON – A new video from a terror group based in Somalia is calling for radicals to attack malls in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The video mentions specific shopping centers, and U.S. officials say they are taking the threat seriously.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said there is no credible or specific evidence suggesting an attack on malls, but he did warn shoppers to be “particularly careful.”

The threat comes from Al-Shabaab, who killed more than 60 people in an attack on an upscale mall in Kenya in 2013.

In the new video, Al-Shabaab calls for attacks on several malls, including the Mall of America in Minnesota, which is the biggest mall in the country.

Homeland Security officials made it clear that the video is not a specific warning, but more of a call to action.

Authorities in Minnesota say shoppers have nothing to fear, but they are stepping up security.
