OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City mother was arrested after a stranger reportedly found her 4-year-old daughter walking by herself along a busy road.

On March 27, officers were called a convenience store after a man spotted a little girl walking by herself.

According to the arrest affidavit, police asked the child if she knew where she lived and she was able to point them in the direction of the Foxcroft apartment complex.

When officers arrived at the girl’s apartment, the door was unlocked and the report says that no adults were present.

Instead, they found a 1-year-old child asleep in a back bedroom.

Eventually, the child’s mother, 29-year-old Deidra Coley, came home.

The arrest affidavit claims Coley was “visibly intoxicated.”

After speaking with officers, she was taken to the Oklahoma County Jail. The report claims workers found a bag of cocaine on her person when she arrived at the jail.

Coley was arrested for child neglect, possession of controlled dangerous substance and bringing contraband into jail.
