Six left homeless after early morning fire

OKLAHOMA CITY – Six people were left homeless after a fire tore through two duplexes just after midnight on Friday.

When fire crews arrived to the scene in the 6200 block of SE 46th St., the duplex was fully involved, causing them to take a defensive stance on the fire.

At one point the fire caused part of the roof to collapse, according to officials.

The fire caused $100,000 in damage.

Fire officials believe the fire was intentionally set.

One person was injured in the fire, according to the Oklahoma City Fire Department.

Officials will continue to investigate.

The Red Cross was called to assist the families affected by the fire.
