60-year-old Oklahoma man drowns in flood waters

SPIRO, Okla. – Authorities say a 60-year-old man has drowned after his tractor became stalled in high water.

On May 11, officials say 60-year-old Dennis Donaho went to check on his cattle.

The Department of Public Safety says he was riding a tractor when it became stalled in high water.

Officials say Donaho tried to swim to safety but never returned home.

He was reported missing about five hours later and a search began.

Around 9:30 a.m  on Wednesday, authorities say they discovered his body in the flood water of the Poteau River, about five miles southeast of Spiro.
