OKLAHOMA CITY – Earlier this year, Lake Hefner was at extremely low levels.
Residents across Oklahoma City had been warned to conserve water during the drought.
After a brief bout of rain in April, Lake Hefner was still 11 feet below capacity
In May, heavy rain completely transformed the lake.
A recent report showed the lake to be 90 percent full.
At this time, residents are still encouraged to conserve water, which will be needed in the summer months.
