VINITA, Okla. – Oklahoma officials have found an inmate who escaped from a correctional facility Saturday.

Deontaye Frederick was not present during a routine head count at the Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center in Vinita, officials said.

Wednesday, Frederick was caught in Oklahoma City by the Highway Patrol, and the inmate is now back in custody.

Frederick has been convicted of aggravated assault and battery, second degree burglary and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
