Former foster care provider facing additional charges for child pornography
UPDATE: After investigators looked into Cheatwood’s computer, they were able to identify a local victim.
Cheatwood is now charged with two counts of aggravated possession of child pornography, manufacturing child pornography, distributing child pornography and violating the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
TULSA, Okla. — A former respite care provider for foster children has been arrested for distribution of child pornography.
An undercover agent with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was allegedly able to download child pornography that was traced back to a host computer in the 6400 block of E. 95th Place South in Tulsa.
A search warrant was served for that address, and Timothy Paul Cheatwood, 44, was arrested on the scene.
Officials say Cheatwood admitted to using his computer to obtain child pornography.
He was booked in the Tulsa County Jail on one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
Investigators are asking foster parents who ever used Cheatwood to care for their foster child to please call the OSBI hotline at 1-800-522-8017.
