Three Players from OU and OSU Honored By Big 12

The Big 12 Conference honored three players from the state of Oklahoma with weekly football awards on Monday, October 5.

OSU’s Mason Rudolph shared the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors with KaVontae Turpin of TCU.

Rudolph was 34 of 55 passing for 437 yards and three touchdowns in OSU’s win over Kansas State last Saturday.

Oklahoma had two players honored.

Linebacker Eric Striker was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week.

Striker tied career highs with 12 tackles, three of them for a loss, and had two sacks and a forced fumble in OU’s win over West Virginia.

OU kicker Austin Siebert is the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week.

Siebert kicked three field goals and averaged 43.4 yards per punt in the Sooner win over the Mountaineers.

It’s the first weekly award for all three players.
