Sunday promises a warmer afternoon

Lows tonight will drop to the 20s, the coldest night of the season so far.

A hard freeze is likely for most of the state, so remember the three Ps: Plants, pets and people.

Sunday promises a much warmer afternoon with highs in the mid 50s under sunny skies. Winds will stay light and out of the southwest at 10-15mph.

Temperatures will briefly rebound to the 60s early  next week before our Thanksgiving storm system moves in for the holiday.

Heavy rain is possible and we may see a few strong thunderstorms late Thursday into Friday.
