OKLAHOMA CITY - Police confirm one victim and one suspect have been shot following a home invasion in southeast Oklahoma City.

A mom and her baby were also inside at the time of the break-in. Luckily, they’re both okay.

It was a wild scene in one southeast Oklahoma City neighborhood, near SE 84th and Sooner.

Police swarmed a development called Windwood Estates.

"People thinking they can just come into people's houses and take what they want, but they didn't get nothing out of it, that's their loss," said Shantae James.

Shantae James said her sister, her niece - who is just a couple months old - and 23-year-old Ryan Boyd, were inside when a group of men burst in.

According to the police report, Boyd had been shot. One of the suspects, 20-year-old Jacob Goins, had also been shot. Both are expected to survive.

The mom and her baby hid in a bedroom closet. They were not hurt.

"I walked out here and saw the crime scene, and I just started crying because it's too close to home," said Misty Williams.

Misty Williams said her neighborhood is filled with kids and loving families, so it's hard to accept such a terrifying ordeal happening next door.

"We should have a neighborhood watch or something," said Williams.

She hopes the remaining suspects are caught quickly.

"It's scary because you don't know if they could come back to get what they were coming for," said Williams.

Both men who were shot, the victim and the suspect, have a lengthy criminal history. But police haven't made a connection between the two men.

The investigation is ongoing.
