OKLAHOMA - Lisa, 16, is looking for a place to call home.

The high school junior says she is part of a leadership group at her school.

"I help out different freshmen. So, I'm basically a leader for the new people who come to the school," Lisa said.

This 16-year-old also loves performing arts.

"I've like to sing since I was little," Lisa said. "I usually sing and dance."

This sharp teen also enjoys chemistry.

She hopes her love for science will lead to a rewarding career.

"First, I want to go to finish school and then go to college for interior design and forensic science," Lisa said.

The teen certainly isn't shy and looks forward to new adventures.

"I also like to explore. I like to go traveling. I'm an outgoing person. I know I go up to random people and say I like your shoes or your eyes or something, but that's me," Lisa said.

Unfortunately, though, she doesn't get out much.

"I don't get to do a lot of fun activities like I see my friends that are not in the DHS system. Like they get to go outside and go to their friend’s house and have a birthday party. Instead, my, I have to sit in all day doing nothing, but watch TV," Lisa said.

Lisa has been under the care of DHS since she was just a toddler.

After 14 years, she's ready for a permanent home.

"I don't want a family who's going to change who I am. I want somebody to love me for who I am," Lisa said. "I want someone to care for me, to be there by my side. Someone I can lean on. Someone I can really trust."
