MCALESTER, Okla. – A Krebs-based brewing company is planning to expand its beer production at a 52,000-square-foot facility that it recently acquired n McAlester.
The McAlester News-Capital reports that Krebs Brewing Company plans to relocate the bulk of its current beer production at Pete’s Place Restaurant to Steven Taylor Industrial Park.
Company president Zach Prichard says the move will allow the brewery to make five to six times more beer than it currently does. He says employment could double in the next three years with the expansion.
The company’s number of employees has already grown quickly. In 2013, four full-time employees worked at the facility. In three years, that number has increased to 30 employees.
The company is known for brewing Choc Beer Company and Prairie Artisan Ales products.
