OKLAHOMA CITY - A southwest Oklahoma City neighborhood is feeling unsettled after finding out a woman was raped in her own home while her kids were there.

"It's scary. My door's always locked now. Well, they were anyway, but I'm going to kind of keep watch," said Connie Crawford. "I'm very sorry it happened to them, and I'll be praying for her.”

The suspect is on the loose, but police are hoping to find him after releasing a composite sketch Monday.

Just before 10 p.m. Friday, police said there was a knock on the victim’s door.

"She opened the door. The man forced his way in. He grabbed her, forced her into the bedroom," said MSgt. Gary Knight.

According to a police report, the stranger “told her two kids that were in the home to go to the living room and watch TV.”

"That's the sad part. What if he had raped them? You know, that's terrifying," Crawford said.

After the sexual assault, police said the woman was “ordered into the shower and made her scrub her body.”

The suspect then allegedly “threw all the sheets and pillows into the shower, along with the T-shirt [she] was wearing.”

After rummaging through her purse and dresser, officers said the suspect took the woman’s phone and left.

Neighbors are now taking a close look at the man police are looking for.

"I have never seen him. I will remember his face, though," Crawford said.

Police said the victim does not know the suspect.

The report said he told the woman he knew her husband was in prison and she was all alone.

Detectives describe the suspect as a Hispanic male who has a tattoo sleeve on his right arm.

They said he is around 33 years old.
