OKLAHOMA - A metro woman is recovering from an attack outside of a neighborhood store.

Her attacker was caught on camera just seconds before the assault.

It happened near S.W. 32nd and McKinley.

“The blows I took should have knocked me out,” said Alicia Ford.

Ford is still shaken up over what happened to her a few nights ago.

“I still have a swollen jaw. I still have pain in my eye. I still have a knot in my shoulder,” she said.

Ford said she was leaving a store in her neighborhood when it happened.

“As I got close to the street, I felt a jolt and then another jolt. I thought I was falling forward and, by the third jolt, I realized I was being hit, and there is a knot in my jaw,” Ford said.

She said the man wanted money and yelled for her to give him whatever she had.

Ford said she had nothing to give and she screamed for help.

She said the man reached in his pants as if he had a weapon but she never saw one.

That’s when her fear turned to anger.

“I just went 'Hell no' and balled my fist up, and he just ducked and took off back around the corner of this store,” Ford said.

But, not before getting his face caught on camera - a mistake Ford hopes will get him caught.

“My concern is he’s going to hit someone in the head the way he did me, and he’s going to kill them,” she said.

Her family is offering a modest reward for anyone who might know the guy who attacked her and is willing to turn him in.

She said it won't change what happened to her, but it will help her sleep a little better at night.
