OKLAHOMA - A wild police chase spanned across four counties before finally coming to an end nearly 50 miles later.

Police said Derrick Brock started running from police in Oklahoma City.

Officers chased him to Moore where they said Brock continued south on Interstate 35.

Purcell police officers were waiting for him as he sped by and continued southbound until reaching Garvin County.

Authorities said Brock managed to get around stop sticks and dodge tactical maneuvers until officers finally got him stopped on a rural road just outside Elmore City.

He tried to run, but authorities quickly wrestled him to the ground and took him into custody.

"When he got stopped, spun the vehicle, he got out of his vehicle and started to run, and he was ordered to get on the ground by the officers," said Purcell Police Detective Scott Stephens.

Brock is currently in the McClain County Jail on charges of eluding, driving under the influence and speeding.
