OKLAHOMA CITY- A fire forced the evacuation of the KFOR staff Wednesday morning.
The crew was able to get out of the building until fire crews could arrive.
The station was off-the-air for about an hour and a half.
No one was injured.
The KFOR team utilized Facebook Live to let early morning viewers know why KFOR was not on-the-air.
Around 3:30 a.m. staff noticed power flashes and the fire alarms started going off inside the building. The staff quickly called 9-1-1 and evacuated.
One of the producers noticed smoke coming from a central hub for the broadcast equipment.
The fire department arrived within minutes.
Once officials determined the fire was out and there was not longer a danger they allowed crews inside to start trying to get the station back on-the-air.
The KFOR viewers are the best!
