Former OSU Standout Cary Blanchard Remembered

Former Oklahoma State kicker Cary Blanchard was laid to rest on Friday, September 9, after he passed away, at age 47, earlier in the week.

Memorial services were held at Church of the Servant in Oklahoma City.

Blanchard ranks in the top five in career scoring, PATs attempted, PATS made, field goals attempted and field goals made at Oklahoma State.

He was an all Big-Eight selection three times, 1988-90.

He then went on to a nine year NFL career, and played in the 1997 Pro Bowl.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Mindi Blanchard, his son, Blake and Blake’s wife, Tia, his daughter, Bayli and his son, Braeden.

Cowboy Head Coach Mike Gundy played with Blanchard at OSU, and stopped to remember his former teammate with KFOR.
