OKC Dodgers Stop Playoff Streak, Even Series With Sounds

The Oklahoma City Dodgers got a pair of home runs and beat Nashville on Thursday night, September 8, evening their best-of-five Pacific Coast League playoff series at a game apiece.

Nashville starting pitcher Dillon Overton, a Weatherford native and former Sooner star, gave up a 2-run home run to O'Koyea Dickson in the third inning, then a solo shot to Jack Murphy in the fifth inning, as OKC took charge, then held on behind solid starting pitching from Logan Bawcom.

The win ended a 12-game losing streak in playoff games for Oklahoma City's triple-A baseball team, dating back to 2008.

The remainder of the series will be played in Nashville, with Game 3 set for Friday night at 7:00.

Game 4 will be Saturday and Game 5 if necessary on Sunday.
